Against the backdrop of post-pandemic recovery and escalating geopolitical tensions, the global industrial chain is undergoing unprecedented restructuring, reshaping the landscape of international trade and spawning a new wave of transformative changes. For decades, the global division of labor was dominated by the principle of "cost priority," with production links scattered across continents to minimize expenses. However, repeated supply chain disruptions—from COVID-19-induced factory shutdowns to geopolitical conflicts disrupting cross-border logistics—have exposed the fragility of this model. Developed economies, meanwhile, can consolidate their advantages in high-end manufacturing and green technology.
